I also find a it of great use with my arthritis patients who interestingly enough also display digestive problems in many cases.

Where I am situated I see a lot of SAD http://craighitchenstherapies.com/mild-seasonal-depression-winter-blues-s-a-d/ with my clients as the winters can be very wet and cold so serotonin, mood etc is an issue. Interesting you mention about animal proteins. I also see this many vegans and vegetarians in my area due to their lack of correct amino acid profile in their vegetable protein intake with this SAD issue as well as compromised immunity.
